I am a Senior Fitness Instructor here at Tops and I am also the longest serving member of staff here with 25 years + under my belt.In 1989 I decided to make a permanent career change leaving my job as a motor mechanic at the electricity board to fulfil my dream of working full time in the family owned fitness centre.

I quickly became a NABBA qualified Fitness Instructor and gained a passion for the sport of bodybuilding which helped me concentrate on making my physique the best it could possibly be.

In the early nineties I decided to push myself to the limit and compete in National Bodybuilding Shows to see if I had got what it takes. I quickly gained success and many titles and in 1992 achieved my best accolade, winning the Mr United Kingdom Bodybuilding title. I have just made a return to the stage after a break of 19 years to see if I had still got what it takes. I won the NABBA North East Championships and come 4th in the NABBA British. This proves I still know my stuff and I will be back on stage next year to claim that British title!

I have also concentrated in guiding many physique competitors towards there goals of competing and in the process have taken many of them to bodybuilding titles.

My success in bodybuilding has opened the door to other opportunities. I have served as a bodybuilding judge with the European Bodybuilding Federation (EBF), conducted a seminar in Coventry for the supplement company Healthilife, opened school galas, appeared as a guest star at many bodybuilding shows, done catwalk for a sporting clothes company called ZigZag and been part of a male revue act called The Charmers.

My life is in this Fitness Centre and I take great joy in helping clients achieve their goals.
